Clearinghouse

The RGIS Clearinghouse is a repository for New Mexico digital, geospatial data acquired from local and national public agencies or created expressly for RGIS. The data are publicly available and most files can be downloaded from the RGIS ftp web site. However, a few data sets are too large for quick file transfer and are available for purchase on CD.

Files unavailable via the web site can be requested on CD from the Clearinghouse. To order a CD, call 505.277.3622 ext 231, or email clearinghouse@edac.unm.edu .

The following data sets are available on CD-ROM:

County Profiles - $60 per county (A county profile is a collection of shape files and Arc export files clipped to the boundary of each of the 33 New Mexico counties. The files
contain general background spatial layers taken from the RGIS Clearing-
house and basic 1990 census data by block group. The files are projected
to stateplane and decimal degrees.)
